Looking to holiday in the Maldives? You’re in luck as there’s just so much the Maldives has to offer. Read on to find out how you can get started on planning!
Paperwork
Apart from the usual documents such as the passport and visa (which is on-arrival for several nationalities, so check beforehand) you need to carry with you your outbound ticket confirmation before you’re allowed to check-in and board. You’ll also have to provide accommodation confirmation as you arrive in the Maldives. Therefore, make sure you book your Maldives beach resort, the likes of Milaidhoo Island Maldives before you are set to travel.
A local sim
It’s always best to get a local sim card as the internet connections are not always the best. You can opt to purchase this at the airport.
Best time to visit
The Maldives is a tropical paradise, so you’re guaranteed warm weather all year round. The best time to visit would be between November to April – it’s best to avoid the rainy monsoon season.
