The world had to stop for a while due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The impacts on the tourism sector were massive, and the hospitality sector of the Maldives too faced severe challenges. But, now… things are getting better!
Hotels are now in operation
Resorts in Maldives the likes of Niyama Private Islands Maldives closed their operations in March, and now most of them are ready to welcome international guests. But, they will indeed follow all the health guidelines while they do so.
Precautionary measures
While wearing masks and using hand sanitisers will be made compulsory, hotels will also go one step further. That is, guests, on arrival, will be tested for COVID-19 by some hotels, and they will arrange ways to get the test reports within 6-24 hours.
Cleanliness
Gone are the days where hotels were not cleaned when guests were around. Today, hygiene and cleanliness is the key, and hotels will work 24*7 to maintain this.
Social distancing policies
Yes, social distance policies will indeed be there. But, if guests request for events and gatherings, hotels will arrange them, but under careful supervision.
