Period & Conditions
The good news is that scuba diving in Maldives can be enjoyed year-round! However, the optimal period for this activity is generally from November to May when the weather and visibility are at their best. The average water temperature is around 27°C to 30°C, while dive site depths can range from five to 40 metres.
What You Can See
When diving, one will come across all manner of coral be it staghorn, finger, brain or leather coral. Of course, the real “stars” of the show are the fish species such as snappers, parrotfish, sweetlips and Napoleon wrasse; you will also find a wide variety of sharks including whale sharks, manta rays, eagle rays, turtles and more!
