It’s a dream of every traveller to fly to the Maldives at least once in his/her life. So, once you realize your dream, make sure you know all the travel tips and make every moment beautiful.
Flying to the Maldives
Many travellers first travel to Sri Lanka and then fly to the Maldives. From Sri Lanka, you only have to take a 1-hour flight to land in the Maldives.
Once you land in the Maldives at the Male International Air Port, make sure you spend your first day in Male. It’s the capital island of the country and has many interesting attractions including the Tsunami Monument.
Spending the rest of your holiday
You’ll have to use ferries, dhonis, speed boats, or seaplanes (very expensive) to get around in the Maldives. Make sure you don’t plan to go island hopping unless it’s a very long holiday of over 7 days.
