The Maldives has been declared a safe destination to travel to during the pandemic. What should you be knowing before travelling to the Maldives at such a time?
PCR tests
The Maldives requires travellers to present a negative test result report taken 96 hours before their departure. This will be checked upon arrival.
Health Declaration Form

Accommodation
All luxury villas in Maldives the likes of Atmosphere Kanifushi are open to welcome travellers. They operate under the strict supervision of health officials, so you don’t need to worry a bit about your health and hygiene.
Meeting the locals
Since the Maldives government has not yet finished its vaccination program targeting the native population, travellers are not allowed to visit any local island while they holiday in the Maldives.
Other details
Wearing masks and maintaining social distance even when you are at your resort is compulsory. It’s advised to take a hand sanitizer wherever you go when in the Maldives.
