A bit about Sultan Park
Built on the southern side of the former Royal Palace grounds which dates back to the 16th century, Sultan Park which is home to the National Museum is one of the many attractions in Male. What was once the garden of the Royal Palace, it has now been transformed into this verdant park.
History of the Museum
The three-storey wing that was left after the demolition of the Royal Palace was later transformed into the National Museum of Maldives.
