Located within a 7-minute driving distance from Male via Majeedhee Magu road, Kudakudhinge Bageecha is a great place to visit in the Maldivian capital just before you start your journey towards a Maldives resort on a speed boat – for example, to Anantara Dhigu Maldives Resort.
A Place to Play
When this park was opened in 1998, it was an instant hit with the skating and roller-blading enthusiasts and there are even small playing areas for small kids to play.
A Place to See Animals
This children’s park has housed several animals and birds for visiting families to see – which also included a crocodile, which paved the way for many controversies due to the conditions in which it was kept.
Renovations
The park was closed in December 2016 for renovations and was reopened in 2017 with several ‘improvements’ including relocating the crocodile to an unspecified place.
Plastic Animals in Cages
Once the park was reopened, it arose the curiosity of many to see some plastic animals – a deer and cheetah – caged together.
